all about us - baja safe animal rescue and humane society
S.A.F.E. is a non-profit rescue organization duly registered to operate in the State of San Jose del Cabo, California Baja Sur. Founded in 2007 by Isabelle Ann Tiberghien, the rescue is run by Isabelle and many volunteers.
Isabelle's passionate dedication is not restricted to the homeless animals of Los Cabos, but she also touches the lives of countless poor, uneducated, deprived families in the area. It is not uncommon to find Isabelle in the barrios assisting needy families by supplying medical care and food for their pets. At Christmas, with her vehicle loaded with presents she winds her way through the poorer areas handing out gifts for the children bout with donations from caring friends.
The primary focus of Baja SAFE is on spaying and neutering the rescued pets, and provide education to local families on the importance of spaying and neutering. Isabelle makes a positive impact in the community and is highly respected for her efforts.
Baja SAFE are funded solely by public donations and corporate sponsorship. The objective of Baja Safe is to rescue stray dogs and cats in the San Jose del Cabo area, and whenever possible rehabilitate them back to good health.
Once the animal is in good health, we look to find homes for these orphaned animals and have been successful in finding loving homes here in the Baja, as well in the USA and Canada.
We often receive assistance from Rancho Coastal Humane Society. You can visit them here.
